Boat Dock Hinges for Floating Docks

Add dock hinges to your floating dock or gangway to secure a connection and allow dock articulation at the same time. These 48″ hinges bolt to both sides of the dock connection and connect with a rod. Certainly, hinging is necessary for floating systems to release the tension caused by uneven weight distributions on a system held up by floating drums. When one side of your dock has all of the weight, the other side tends to lift out of the water without a hinge to allow the dock to rest stably on the water. Furthermore, every floating dock with an aluminum frame connected to a stationary dock experiences pressure at the joint. These boat dock hinges join the floating and stationary portions of an aluminum dock safely and securely.

Truss Frames or Low Profile Frames

Float your dock on either Jack Docks frame. With two different frame sizes, you can either select LowPRO for a 4″ tall frame or you can select Truss for our 12″ tall frame. If you want to add our hinge kit to another dock, you can verify the height frame and select the size that fits best to your frame. Alternatively, select “Truss to LowPRO” option if you wish to transition from a 12″ tall truss frame to a 4″ Low Profile frame. This option includes one pair of brackets that mount to a truss frame, and the other that mounts to a Low Profile frame.
