This aluminum dock frame end rail is a truss style support which spans the width of every Jack Dock. It measures 4 feet wide and 12 inches tall.

How many end rails does my dock require?

Each 8-foot section of dock needs three end rails. Every Jack Dock frame section includes two end rails in the kit assembly, which span the width of the dock. When connecting two sections together, the rail from the second section is shared with the first dock section. Every dock requires at least one additional 4FT rail to finish off the frame on the lake end of the dock. Thus one extra rail is needed for every straight dock; two extra end rails are needed for every patio dock, and so forth. If the dock is broken up into smaller sections in order to add quick connects or frame hinges, then an additional end rail is required for these connections as well. 

Order an end rail when custom-designing your dock. You do not need a 4FT rail if you are ordering a dock package.
